I am a Philadelphia-based photographer trusted by leading institutions, publications, and community organizations to document the civic energy, culture, and defining moments of our city. As a Korean American, my approach to visual storytelling is inspired by the Four Seals of Buddhism and a cultural sensitivity for diverse human experience. Before focusing my lens professionally, my understanding of humanity was shaped by my service as an NYPD cop across diverse lived in realities of NYC neighborhoods. Today, I bring that social awarness and observation to my photography, actively observing and connecting with the people and organizations I photograph.
